Stroud Country Show July 18th 2020
Celebrating 150 Years
The team that puts on the spectacular celebration of “all things Stroud” is looking for your help to make next year’s Stroud Show a day to remember! We want you to tell us what would make next year's show a great occasion for you.
Stroud’s first Country Show was held in 1870 and it attracted around 15,000 people who paid a shilling to enter! In 2020, we will welcome everybody to come to Stratford Park and Stratford Court to celebrate our local communities, skills and crafts and remember Stroud through the last 150 years.
We will have all the usual fun; childrens’ and family entertainments, the Arena music, dance and fun performances, the fair, the ever popular Dog Show, great food and drink, Horticulture and art and craft competitions, and lots of stalls of local enterprises.
Additionally we hope to retain Stroud's international standing as home to the World Champion brick throwers!, and introduce a feel of bygone years with our procession to include Carthorses, fancy dress and decorated bicycles, and you may just meet some of those Victorian ladies and Gents wandering around the Show…
You will also be able to book your stall, or space to demonstrate a skill or craft, and we will be very pleased to chat about options and ideas. Come along and join in the fun.
