Welcome to our 2012 Stroud Show web site, and we are pleased to say that plans are well advanced for this year show, which looks like being bigger and better than 2011 years with new items already planned to be added.
Show day for 2011 started off very wet and windy, but by 11am the rain had moved on and the waterproofs came off and just left us with the wind which gave the show ground team some fun and games with some tents and gazebo’s trying to move to the next field.
We had a record number of entries for the livestock competitions, horticulture, w.i. wine, cookery and various children's competitions and the companion dog show which is always a favorite; even the dogs were well behaved.
It is always difficult to estimate numbers of visitors to the show, but we thought 2010 was a good one, but last year was even better, no doubt to the fact that we do not charge for visitor entry, and it’s the same this year as well, so bring the family and have a good local day out in the wonderful Strafford Park.
